The Racing Club de Montevideo today announced via Twitter the signing of Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo de Assis Moreira Ronaldinho Gaucho 'but later clarified that it is a joke to mark the Day of the Innocents.
"It's a joke," he told Efe Racing president, Raul Rodriguez, on the message published by the communications department of the club on Twitter.
"Welcome Ronaldinho's player will be part of the beer during the next Clausura" reads the text accompanying a photograph of the former Barcelona and AC Milan in which some details such as height, age and birthplace are specified.
